Where does RCM01 perform best?
RCM01 is built for premium turf where cut quality, consistency, and presentation matter most, especially golf fairways and other professionally maintained turf areas.
How quiet is the RCM01?
Under factory backlapping settings, with reel speed at 1,000 rpm, noise is below 75 dB at 3 meters. Actual sound levels may vary depending on turf conditions and reel setup.
How many fairways can one mower handle?
Based on field experience, one RCM01 can typically maintain 3 to 4 fairways, or about 25,000 to 30,000 m², at a mowing frequency of two to three times per week.
How is the RCM01 charged?
RCM01 currently uses manual charging. After mowing, the mower returns to a designated parking point for charging, inspection, and preparation for the next job.
What are the charging time and battery capacity?
RCM01 uses an 8 kWh LFP battery system. With the 2,000 W charger, it can charge from 0% to 90% in about 5 hours.
Does RCM01 support quick-swap batteries?
Yes. All four battery packs can typically be swapped in about 5 minutes.
How much area can it mow on a single charge?
In field testing, a fully charged RCM01 can mow more than 20,000 m². Actual productivity depends on mowing frequency, turf conditions, surface smoothness, and reel setup.
What mapping methods are supported?
RCM01 supports mower-based mapping, and FJD Trion V4e mapping.
Can RCM01 mow multiple areas in one job?
Yes. RCM01 supports multi-area operation, such as moving from a parking point to Area A and then to Area B, as long as the areas are connected by planned transit paths.
Can RCM01 create striping patterns?
Yes. RCM01 supports adjustable striping width, mowing width, and mowing angle. Striping width can be set from 700 to 5000 mm (27.56 to 196.85 in.), and mowing width from 300 to 670 mm (11.81 to 26.38 in.).
Will RCM01 avoid sand traps, ponds, or steep drop-offs?
RCM01 can detect typical height-based obstacles. For sand traps, ponds, or steep drop-offs outside the mowing boundary, we recommend marking them as obstacles or no-go zones during mapping.
Does RCM01 support multiple mowers in the same mowing area?
Multi-mower operation within a single mowing area is planned for a future software release. It is designed to improve productivity while preventing mower-to-mower interference.
Can one operator manage multiple mowers?
Yes. Through the app and management platform, one operator can monitor mower status, manage mowing schedules, and oversee multiple work areas more efficiently.
How often should the reel cutting units be serviced?
We recommend checking reel condition after about 10,000 m² of mowing. Under good turf conditions, the backlapping interval can often be extended to 20,000 to 25,000 m².
How do I manage reel maintenance?
Use the app to set maintenance reminders by time or accumulated mowing area. When the threshold is reached, the app will send a clear service reminder.
How do I sharpen the reel cutting unit?
1. Power off the mower or press the emergency stop, then remove grass clippings.
2. Check the reel-to-bedknife contact with a paper test.
3. Start backlapping in Settings > Maintenance and use 120-400 grit compound.
4. Rinse thoroughly, readjust the clearance, and repeat the paper test.
How does the floating reel unit work?
The RCM01 reel cutting head floats side to side and up and down, helping it follow fairway contours for more consistent turf contact and better cut quality.
How do I adjust the height of cut?
The actual cutting height is mechanically adjusted within a range of 7–44 mm (0.28 to 1.73 in.). In the app, the cutting deck height setting mainly controls the working position of the reel unit during operation.
What is a typical daily workflow for RCM01?
